Wedding in Colors: Sand

Good day to all our Lots of Love Readers. There's something feminine and sexy about weddings in neutral colors. If you are not comfortable having a colorful wedding, you can always opt for a more subdued tone such as Sand. This color has an amiably neutral feel into it. As the name suggests, Sand will remind you of the beach and the cool summer breeze making it a perfect palette for a summer wedding. At the same time, it also has a rustic appeal and therefore makes a fine choice for country-themed weddings. It can be used on its own or combined with other subtle colors such as paloma or other light shades of brown.

Here as some beautiful details from Sand-themed weddings:

And the bridesmaids would look sexy in sand-colored dresses

Elegant Tablescapes

Gorgeous centerpieces

Why not have a wedding cake with stripes

Or have little wedding cakes instead of the usual stacked and layered

If you are having a beach wedding, you can give out scented candles with starfish designed candle holders

You may also want to pack some spa essentials inside burlap pouches.

Wedding Colors: Paloma

Hello to all our avid Lots of Love Readers!
We love weddings and we like exploring possibilities on how to make them fun and exciting. Here’s another color you can use as your wedding motif – Paloma. It is a beautiful shade of gray. It portrays confidence and assurance. It can be used on its own or combined with soft-toned color palettes for a romantic effect. It can also be paired with bold colors to achieve a more vibrant look. Paloma is a great choice when you want a neutral or subdued theme for your wedding.

Here are some ideas on how it can be used.

Invitation cards accentuated with polka dots. Use varying fonts and font sizes for a more interesting look.

Starry starry night evening wedding invitation.

The groom and groom’s men will look dapper in suits.

And the bridesmaids will look lovely in these dresses.

Flower girls will surely enjoy wearing sequinned dresses with tulle skirts.

And carry these petal cones while walking down the aisle.

Here are classy and sophisticated wedding bouquets with white flowers and a mix of grays

You can decorate the wedding pews with gray willow hearts decors adorned with gypsophila

For a classy look, decorate the wedding reception with paper pom poms and glass balls

Arranging escort cards on top of a chest drawer is so shabby-chic.

Signage add an interesting touch to the over-all dรฉcor at a wedding reception
Like these enlarged names of the newlywed prominently displayed at the entrance of the reception hall where the guests can have their pictures taken while waiting for the program to start.

The couple’s initials adorning the dessert bar

Instead of elaborate tablescapes try this simple but elegant table setting.

Stylish display of seating arrangement on frames hung on a wall or placed  on the reception tables

And what wedding would be complete without a wedding cake.

If the wedding cake is just too beautiful to cut, you can serve cake pops and cupcakes everyone to enjoy.

And when the party is over, you can thank them for celebrating with you by giving out thank you cards and wedding favors like these scented candles.

Colors of Spring: Placid Blue

Hello to our fabulous Lots of Love Readers!

Here’s another popular color trend for weddings: Placid Blue. This pastel shade of blue exudes reassurance and tranquility as found in the clear skies and calm waters.   Here are some ideas on how you can integrate pastel blue into the overall motif for your wedding.

We love, love, love these dainty handkerchiefs with floral designs tucked in placid blue envelops. Maybe something to give to your bridesmaids-to-be? Or perhaps the perfect place cards for your bridal shower?

Wear Something Blue!
Following the tradition, the bride can wear her something blue under her dress (shoes and garter) or paint her nails a soft, pale blue.

The groom will definitely rock these matching shoes and bow tie. It has such a vintage feel to it.

With coloured wedding dresses getting a lot of buzz, a bride may go non-traditional and pick a placid blue wedding dress like this adorable pastel creation by Elie Saab. So angelic. love.

Dress up the flower girls and bridesmaids in placid blue dresses.

The boys would definitely look cool in blue!

Hydrangeas will prominently dominate a placid blue wedding because of its natural blue color.
Mix it up with greens and roses to make a lovely bridal bouquet.

Line the wedding aisle with mason jars filled with flowers.

Arrange flowers in vases with varying heights.

Or you can bunch up some flowers to make a simple yet elegant centerpiece

A wedding party will not be complete without the wedding cake
Something whimsical with varied textures and design for each layer.

Or elegant and formal

Blue table setting? Perfect!

Get guests involved during the program by giving out sparklers which they could light during the newlywed's entrance to the reception venue.

We love the idea of coasters where your guests can write personal advice or best wishes for the newlyweds.
