A Christmas Wedding

Hello Lots of Love readers!

It's holiday time, if you haven't noticed, and we are LOVING every second of it. What's better than the combination of holiday festivities and the celebration of marriage!

Today we are sharing some tips on having a Christmas wedding. Enjoy and share your thoughts!

If you plan on a Christmas wedding, it is wise to plan ahead. Make an early announcement so your friends, relatives and guests are sure to attend and celebrate with you on your special day.

Here are some things worth considering:

A picture of the happy couple on the invitation card gives it a personal touch.

The cold weather should not stop you and your favorite girls from dressing up for the occasion.

Make a statement in red! Add the spirit of Christmas to the wedding. It can be subtle additions such as adding a holly to the groom's boutonniere or bold additions like wearing those red stilletos!

Lovely reds flowers make a wonderful contrast to an ivory wedding gown. Combine roses, alstromeria and hypericum berries to add a festive holiday feel to it.

Guests will likely talk about the poinsettias and Christmas balls which double up as place card holders. And those Christmas decorations that make up the centerpiece on your reception tables.

Let your cake tell a story - Santa delivering your wedding cake, a Christmas tree or a bouquet of poinsettias in a basket. You may also want to try out novel ideas such as festive cake pops and cupcakes.

Surprise your guests with an assortment of Christmas flavors (i.e. red velvet, eggnog and peppermint) underneath that coat of icing.

Go with the whole Christmas theme and give out Christmas decorations with your monogram and names on it. That way, your guests will remember you and your wedding each and every Christmas season. And spread the love with some chocolate dipped strawberries.

You can choose a wedding photo later on and make it your Christmas card for next year (aka your first wedding anniversary).
Make Christmas more meaningful by making it the first day of the rest your your life together as husband and wife.

Lots of Love,

Awesome ideas I love how the jewelry still pops out when trying to be cosy. Love the dresses so beautiful.

Thank you Aby! We agree on the dresses. They make me want to wear each one of them this season...just for fun!
