Warm greetings to all our Lots of Love Readers!
Every bride should have that
perfect wedding shoes to go with her perfect wedding dress. Finding the right
one could be overwhelming with all the options available in the market today. Irregardless
of style or preference, there are several things that every bride should
consider when buying wedding shoes:
Never sacrifice comfort for
style. You’ll have to remember that you will be on your feet for an extended
period of time from the wedding ceremony down to the reception. It is important
that you wear shoes that not only flatter your feet but should also be comfortable
and fit you very well.
Mind the dress. Consider the
length of your wedding dress when buying your shoes. Make sure to bring it
during your final fitting so your dressmaker can make the necessary adjustment to your hemline.
Perfect match. Your wedding shoes
should complement your wedding dress and not be the ruin of it. If your dress
is satin, then your shoes should be of high shine material to complement your
dress. You may even have your own custom-made shoes in the exact same material as your dress.
The Bold and Beautiful. Who says
wedding shoes always have to come in white or neutral? These days, it could be
anything from radiant red stilettos, leather boots, and sneakers usually worn
under a long wedding dress hidden from plain sight but ever ready to be showcased any time, any how.
Consider the time and place. Find
the appropriate footwear suitable for the occasion.
You can wear sandals for a beach wedding or boots for a winter wedding.
Break it in. As the saying goes,
practice makes perfect. Make it a point that you break your shoes in before the
big day.
“A shoe is not only a design, but it's a part of your body
language, the way you walk. The way you're going to move is quite dictated by
your shoes.” ~ Christian Louboutin
